Map of technological Interests
The actions that will take place in this work package are intended to create a map of technological interest for the companies / partners of HEPHAESTUS SMC. Initially, an analysis of the activities of each company / partner and the identification of the corresponding technological objects will be executed. Then, the way of interconnection of technological objects as well as the common technological interests between the companies will be analyzed. A detailed list of technological interests will emerge from this package and will form the basis for the business plan in the EU3.
Map of interaction-networking above HSMC partners
The actions that will take place in this work package are intended to enable interactions between the members of HEPHAESTUS SMC. Creating strong interactions will drive the development of significant momentum for the production of new products and services, the implementation of strategies for cluster partners to penetrate target markets, increase career opportunities, attract investors, achieve international cooperation and finally, the diffusion of knowledge and know-how developed under HEPHAESTUS SMC. In more detail, the role of each partner and its sector will be fully defined. Then, the possible ways of cooperation between the members will be analyzed inner and outer of HEPHAESTUS SMC. Potential collaborations will be aimed at the development of activities through the exploitation of research results and innovative technologies.
Business Plan
The actions that will take place in this work package are intended to create the business plan of HEPHAESTUS SMC. More specifically, all the actions required to achieve the cluster goals will be fully identified. In addition, all the necessary resources needed to implement the business plan will be identified. During the preparation of the business plan, a market analysis will be carried out based on the areas of activity of the members of HEPHAESTUS SMC. In addition, part of this work package deals with financial planning both for the implementation of the project and for the long-term sustainability of HEPHAESTUS SMC. Finally, the marketing strategy will be planed within this section. Important actions that will be utilized for the preparation of the business plan are the “Map of technological interests” and “Map of interaction-networking above HSMC partners”.
Pilot cases selection, development and evaluation
An important advantage for the members of HEPHAESTUS SMC will be the design of a framework for the selection, implementation and evaluation of pilot innovative applications. This framework will be developed in this module and will be used during the 2nd Invitation (2nd phase) of this action. More specifically, this framework will be used by the members of HEPHAESTUS SMC for the strategic selection of the business plans that will be submitted for funding in the 2nd phase of the Invitation as well as their implementation and evaluation in case that they are funded under the Action.
Business plan implementation
This work package includes the design of a methodology for the implementation of the business plan based on the initial design of what took place in the WP3-Business Plan. The main goal of this methodology is the implementation of the business plan based on the creation of several services ("technical" services, "training" services and "consulting" services) which will be offered to the members of HEPHAESTUS SMC.
Penetration strategies in target markets Implementation
This section includes all the recommendations for penetration strategies implementation in target markets. The main goal of these recommendations is to support companies in their networking at national and European level, and to ensure the viability of HEPHAESTUS SMC by finding new investors and members able to finance HEPHAESTUS SMC after the end of the project.
